COVID-19, Selling Your House And The Future

We are presently going through an unprecedented time due to COVID-19. Everywhere we turn, we get to hear about it, like it or not. None of us have any idea as to what our financial future holds. Yes, we absolutely want to stay safe and healthy, but we also want to stay financially sound. One thing I know is that people are resilient, and we learn to cope with any situation. The unknown is scary, but it has been my experience that things are not as scary as we think they’re going to be. We will get through this. This too shall pass.

Each person has their own story. In addition, I will discuss our experiences in the last 18 months with a house we remodeled – the good, the bad, the ugly and sometimes, the stupid. One thing you will find is that we’re transparent and will give it to you straight.

For example, we had a distraught lady call us, who had lost her husband, lost her job and was well on her way to losing her house. After giving her ideas, we could see that she still was not able to make a sound decision, in her state of mind. We suggested that she think about her options and get back to us. This gave her time to check us out and come back to us when she was more prepared. After checking us out, she found that we were a solid, honest company that she felt comfortable working with. Long story short, we gave her a good deal, she did not lose her house to foreclosure, and walked away with cash.

No doubt, life is hard right now. I have been amazed at how people are pulling together and helping each other. There’s nothing like hard times to bring people together. We often only hear about the bad in humanity but now we’re seeing the good as well. There is a silver lining behind every cloud, and I believe we’re going to come out of this treating each other a little better, being a little more aware of our environment and making ourselves more prepared for the future.
